News

Notcoin (NOT), strongly supported by social media giant Telegram, recently completed a highly successful airdrop campaign but saw its value drop by over 85% in the first week of trading.

This cryptocurrency is a key part of a Telegram-based game with a user base of over 35 million. Many investors who hopped on the positive trend are now facing significant losses.

According to BeinCrypto, Notcoin launched on the Toncoin Network last week and airdropped nearly $1 billion worth of NOT tokens to eligible investors. The token also secured listings on major exchanges like Binance, and initially, there was a strong view. Notcoin reached an all-time high of $0.037, within 24 hours of its listing, and became one of the top ten cryptocurrencies by trading volume, hitting $1.4 billion and ranking eighth.

The project achieved significant praise after Telegram founder Pavel Durov supported it, praising its transformation from an in-game currency to real money for users. Durov also expressed gratitude for donating 1 billion NOT tokens, worth about $6.8 million, from the Notcoin community. He plans to hold these tokens until their value increases 100 times, aiming for a future worth of $680 million.
